Poised with a clear arrow we are the warriors and medicine people and we are coming back home.
Your essence nature, the luminous pillar which shapes the core of your being, is a readily available renewable resource for great healing and profound remembrance in your life of many lifetimes.
Retreat gently draws us back to center by slowing the urgent, protective, and agitated forces within the psyche that are accustomed to steering our lives or vying for control. As these parts soften, something most royal begins to orient us again.
Like snow falling or the shaking off of dust, retreat recalibrates the internal weather systems so we can return to, dwell within, and operate from our vast open sky space. Boundless, benevolent, and breathtakingly beautiful.
The Sacred Valley of Peru is where I first glimpsed my true nature and woke up from the dreary haze to see the masterful horizon line of my own life. It’s where my practice field unfolded and my teaching life began. It has changed me, and the course of my life, again and again. I return.
Embark on a sacred pilgrimage to Inner Awakening…
Inner Medicine is a pilgrimage not only to the Sacred Valley but inwards to our own sacred domains where time stands still and all answers are already known.
This is a practice field for those ready to listen deeply: to themselves, to the land, and to what wants to be healed, clarified, or remembered.
May re remember that we are, each of us, medicine people—capable of regeneration through relationship with the land, with the plants, and with our own innermost intelligence.
I would be humbled for you to join me on this journey.
—Kali
I am overcome with deep emotion and a gladdened heart to welcome you to Peru - a land that shaped my own path — so that we might recall we are the medicine people, and we walk already with the antidote to heal ourselves and apply the balm to our lives.

Our Wachuma (San Pedro) ceremony is an optional offering during the retreat. Participation is entirely your choice. Many guests feel called to this experience; others prefer to spend the day in quiet reflection, nature, or rest. Both are fully respected and supported.
Wachuma, traditionally prepared from the San Pedro cactus (Echinopsis pachanoi), has been used ceremonially in the Andes for thousands of years. It is often described as a heart-opening medicine that deepens connection—to self, to nature, and to the greater field of life.
Two elements strongly influence plant medicine experiences:Set — your internal mindset
Setting — the physical environment
Our setting will be the sacred gardens and serene grounds of Willka Tika in the Sacred Valley—a protected, intentional space held with care.
Your “set” is something you can prepare. Set your intention gently. These medicines often give what is needed rather than what is requested. Clarity may unfold immediately—or over time. The practice is to stay receptive and allow the experience to reveal itself.
Wachuma is a full-day experience. Common experiences include:
A heightened sense of connection
Emotional depth and catharsis
Insight into life patterns and relationships
A deep appreciation for the beauty of the natural world
There is no such thing as a “bad” experience in this context—though there can be difficult passages. Growth is not always comfortable. Our facilitators are present throughout to provide grounding and care.
This ceremony is offered with reverence and care. It is never required.
Whether you choose to participate or not, you will be fully included in the retreat experience. The path of Inner Medicine unfolds in many ways.
You can read more about Plant Medicine in Willka Tika’s Plant Medicine Handbook.
-
Noble silence is a mindful offering — a quiet window at the start of each day to attune inward, soften stimulation, and let practice arise from stillness. It ends at breakfast each morning.
-
Willka T’ika’s sustainable guest rooms are made from natural earth materials and adorned with local artwork. All rooms are named for the Andean medicinal plant that grows at each room’s doorstep.
Each room has its own private modern bathroom and entry to the gardens.
You can book either a private or shared room for this retreat. You do not need to have a partner in mind in order to book a shared accommodation. We will match you with a roommate of the same gender. -
Your registration includes lodging, all yoga and lecture sessions and all meals.
The day trip to Machu Picchu is priced at $545 per person. If you register for retreat before June 1st, 2026, we will include your trip to Machu Picchu for free!
Travel costs and optional purchases along the way are not included. We highly reccommend purchasing travel insurance for this retreat.

The closest airport to Willka Tika is Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport (CUZ) in Cusco — roughly a 75-minute drive.
Most international travelers book flights that land in Lima in the late evening / early morning and connect ASAP to a morning flight to Cusco. If you have a long layover, you can book a room at the Lima Airport (Wyndham Costa del Sol). If you want to spend time seeing Lima, we recommend doing so at the end of your trip.
Airport Transfers/Taxis: Willka Tika works with a few professional taxi drivers with well maintained and insured vehicles and excellent driving records. We recommend them especially for your arrival transfer which is 75 minutes and can be quite stressful to navigate after a long flight.
Note: Uber is not yet established in much of Peru and if you book your own taxi be sure they drive you into the Willka T’ika parking area and don’t drop you off on the street.
Departing transfers: the night before your scheduled departure, taxi transfers can be arranged and paid for directly with reception.
Car Rental: We do not recommend renting a car for Cusco or the Sacred Valley. Renting a car is complicated in Peru and driving in Cusco can be challenging. There are many safe, reliable, and affordable sources of transportation to take you around the Sacred Valley such as taxis, vans, colectivos, etc.

In the Southern Hemisphere, Peru’s seasons are opposite the United States.
In the lovely Andean spring months, mornings are generally dry and sunny, perfect for exploring, while evenings are warmer than the dry season. It is a lush, green, and uncrowded time to visit. Soft rains at night may begin in November.
Be prepared for relatively high elevations. Approximate elevations above sea-level: Willka T’ika’s 9,420 feet, Cusco’s 11,150 feet, Machu Picchu 7,800 feet.
Weather can change dramatically at high altitude, it is always wise to have a hat, rain/wind jacket and a few layers.

Kali’s teaching is adaptive and trauma-informed. You’re encouraged to move with agency and choice, and all shapes can be modified to support your body’s needs.
