Energetic Anatomy
This workshop traces the meeting place of anatomy, physiology, and Traditional Chinese Medicine’s subtle energetics. We explore the shoulder girdle and heart-lung system through both their structural mechanics and their emotional resonance, feeling how breath, posture, and ribcage mobility influence our capacity to receive and express. We then attune to the pelvis, psoas, and sacrum as the deep core of instinct and regulation, where the nervous system speaks through tension, yielding, and release. Meridian pathways are not treated as abstract concepts, but as sensations moving through fascia, connective tissue, and the lived experience of being in a body. The work offers a direct, embodied understanding of how form and energy are inseparable — how shifts in the physical landscape create shifts in emotional tone, presence, and inner coherence.
Fascia: The Fabric of Our Form
Fascia is the body’s continuous, bio-intelligent web — the connective tissue that shapes structure, transmits force, and communicates sensation. It is also the medium through which meridian energy travels, linking mechanical form with subtle vitality. In this workshop, we map the layers and lines of fascia, learning how hydration, sustained pressure, and mindful movement influence resilience and ease. Through Yin, slow flow, and restorative practices, we release long-held tension, restore glide between tissues, and listen for the quiet shifts that unfold when the body is met rather than managed.
Anatomy of Trauma
Trauma imprints not only in memory, but in the rhythms of breath, tone of muscle, and the subtle reflexes of protection and withdrawal. This workshop explores how the nervous system shapes posture, pacing, and emotional expression, and how patterns of bracing often live in the fascia, diaphragm, and deep core. Drawing from Internal Family Systems, Yin practice, and contemplative inquiry, we learn to recognize the body’s signals of overwhelm and safety, and to create space for parts that have carried the burden of guarding. Rather than forcing release, we cultivate conditions of trust in which the system can soften on its own — allowing the body to reorganize toward presence, clarity, and coherence.
